    How do I submit my sitemap to Google?

    Upload sitemap.xml to your site root, then in Google Search Console open Sitemaps and submit https://yourdomain.com/sitemap.xml. Bing Webmaster Tools has the same flow. The URL limit per sitemap is 50,000 entries or 50MB.

    Do I need a sitemap for a small site?

    Not strictly, but it helps. Sitemaps speed up discovery for new or changed pages and are especially useful if your site is new, has few inbound links, or uses JavaScript rendering.

    What do change frequency and priority mean?

    Change frequency hints how often content changes (daily, weekly...), and priority signals relative importance between 0.0 and 1.0. Both are hints - search engines may ignore them entirely.

    Should every page be in the sitemap?

    List pages you want indexed. Exclude duplicate content, thin pages, login-only pages, and parameter-heavy URLs. Use robots.txt or noindex for pages that should not appear.

    What is the 50,000 URL limit?

    A single sitemap file can contain at most 50,000 URLs or 50MB. Larger sites split URLs into multiple sitemaps and reference them from a sitemap index file.

    Is my URL list sent anywhere?

    No. The sitemap is generated locally in your browser. Your URLs are never uploaded or stored.
